Six Till Six are leisure, hospitality and cultural sector specialists. We are passionate about partnership working, and believe that fostering these relationships between licensed premises, business improvement districts, local authorities, police forces and all other important stakeholders in a town or city is crucial to a successful, enjoyable and sustainable destination offer.
We help to create safer, more vibrant and attractive places to enjoy food, drink and leisure time by supporting towns and cities to develop tailored projects and policies to support their wider leisure economy.

Sylvia Oates
CEO

Sylvia has worked in the leisure and hospitality sector for 24 years and has a genuine passion for the sector. She has worked with town and cities across the UK to write night time economy strategies, achieve Purple Flag status, review policies, set up Best Bar None schemes and deliver other projects that support a diverse, vibrant and safe leisure economy.
David Randall
Director of Operations and Finance

David has worked in tourism, culture and hospitality for over 20 years, setting up and leading local and international partnerships to promote destinations, develop the product offer, and improve skills and quality of the visitor experience. His strategy and policy experience supports delivery across the range of projects Six Till Six works on.
Iwona Kossek
Director of People and Projects

Iwona has been working in the hospitality, leisure and Night Time Economy sector for over 19 years. She has extensive experience in the hospitality sector including Business Crime Reduction, Purple Flag assessments, managing venues and more recently, working in area management for the Stonegate Group.

Jayne West FRSA is a consultant and practitioner with over 30 years experience working across multidisciplinary, multi-stakeholder projects in the arts, creative, cultural, and TCLF sectors (textiles, clothing, leather, and footwear).

Arts and Culture

Tina has worked in the arts sector for almost 25 years. including 15 years at Arts Council England and secondment to National Office where she served as a senior officer to take forward the creative economy strategy with DCMS.

Debbie Ogier
Senior Projects Officer

Debbie is our Projects Manager for Six Till Six and supports the delivery of Best Bar None, the Home Office backed accreditation for pubs, bars and clubs. She has a wide range of experience from different industries and roles, including leisure and hospitality.
Isaac Heatlie
Senior Projects Officer

Isaac has worked in the hospitality industry since 2014 and has a keen interest in this sector. A Politics and Economics graduate from Aston University, he supports project development and delivery across the range of projects Six Till Six works on for our clients.
Helen Dawes
Projects Officer

Helen is the Administrative Assistant for Six Till Six, helping to deliver the Best Bar None accreditation scheme, and providing high quality support across our range of clients, colleagues and partners. Helen also deals with financial monitoring for the business.

Project Manager

Cat has been working with the licensed trade, police, local authorities, stakeholders and voluntary groups for over 20 years. For the last 11 years she has managed the Plymouth BBN scheme, is a scheme assessor, Personal Licence Trainer and is the Purple Flag Coordinator for the city.
Barry Brown
Safety and Crime

A police officer for 30 years, Barry achieved the rank of Inspector. His focus has been on building close working relationships with stakeholders within the night-time economy, tackling crime and anti-social behaviour, and engaging with the community to make them safer places.
Sarah Walker
Women's Night Safety

Sarah Walker brings a wealth of knowledge to the business having over 20 year’s experience of the Evening and Night Time Economy (ENTE) from her previous roles at the BII (British Institute of Innkeeping), Best Bar None National Co-ordinator and Purple Flag Programme Manager.
David Lucas
Licensing

David is a leading gambling, alcohol and entertainment licensing solicitor and a Director of the Institute of Licensing and Chairman of the East Midlands Region. He is also a member of the national Board of Best Bar None, Committee of National Pubwatch and the regional council of the BII.

Data and Performance

Dave is our data and performance specialist. He has over 17 years’ experience of police and local authority data, working with authorities and forces across the country. His range of technical expertise includes advanced Excel, SQL, SQL Server Reporting Studio (SSRS) and Power BI.
