
Reopening and closing of businesses
In recent government announcements businesses that were due to reopen on 1st August have now been told they need to stay closed until 15th August. This has obviously raised concerns and caused confusion about who can open and when.
The latest guidance provides a summary of which businesses can open along with links to what they need to do when they reopen. You can find the guidance on the government website here.
So what do the latest announcements mean for businesses?
The following businesses have been advised that they can’t reopen just yet:
- Bowling alleys,
- Casinos,
- exhibition halls,
- conference centres,
- nightclubs and dance halls,
- indoor play areas, and
- indoor skating rinks.
