Six Till Six and MAKE Associates were commissioned by Camden Council to undertake an independent review of the borough’s Late Night Levy. The review sought to understand the impact of the levy on businesses, residents, public services and the wider evening and night time economy, and to assess whether it remained an effective tool for achieving its intended objectives.

The project included extensive stakeholder engagement with licensed businesses, residents, responsible authorities, Business Improvement Districts and community representatives. We also reviewed operational data, policy documents and financial information to understand how the levy was performing and where improvements could be made.

Our findings provided Camden Council with an evidence base to inform future decision-making, helping ensure that any future approach supports a vibrant, safe and sustainable evening and night time economy.
