Six Till Six was commissioned by Chelmsford City Council and Chelmsford For You BID to develop an Evening and Night Time Economy Action Plan for the city. The project sought to identify opportunities to strengthen Chelmsford’s evening offer, support businesses and enhance the experience of residents and visitors after dark.

We undertook stakeholder engagement, business consultation, overnight audits and research to understand the city’s strengths, challenges and future opportunities. Working closely with local partners, we developed a practical action plan focused on safety, accessibility, culture, place management, transport and destination development.

The action plan provides a shared framework for partners to deliver improvements across the city centre, supporting Chelmsford’s ambition to develop a vibrant, inclusive and sustainable evening and night time economy.
