Chichester District Council commissioned Six Till Six and our colleagues at MAKE Associates to undertake a comprehensive baseline study of Chichester City Centre’s ENTE. The baseline study followed the Purple Flag framework to help manage and raise standards of the ENTE and to inform further strategy development.

We work collaboratively and take a hands-on role with our projects, embedding ourselves with the client team and establishing a good rapport with all stakeholders. We took the time to get to know the organisations in Chichester and their specific aspirations for what the PF audit needs to achieve.

Our work included helping to identify an ENTE working group. We reviewed any and all relevant city centre strategies and policies, tying the PF to the City’s Vision as well as regeneration, economic development, destination and community development strategies.

We conducted two night audits based on the Purple Flag framework joined by police, local authority, university, civic society and the BID. We undertook a review of current and proposed ENTE activities, interventions, programmes, events and active partnerships. Our process gathered meaningful qualitative and quantitative data about immediate and ongoing needs, priorities and perceptions of the city’s ENTE.
